Often with an irrelevant sense of humour, McCormick tackles still life compositions in unorthodox ways. Perspective flattened, a red jug taking up most of the composition, unrelated items placed together. Hints of in jokes (for those familiar with his oeuvre) but always with a fist full of colour. Bananas and oranges a reoccurring favourite, but you are just as likely to see an out of place circuit board or cod liver oil bottle!
